Westminster Woods is a master-planned southeast-Guelph community developed largely during the 2000s and later. It includes a broad mix of detached homes, townhouses, stacked condominiums, apartment-style condominiums and newer rental buildings.
The neighbourhood's streets, schools, parks and trail links were planned together as the south end expanded. Gordon Street and Clair Road provide access to major commercial services, while the interior streets are organized around local parks and green connections.
Approximate location
Westminster Woods is generally east of Gordon Street in southeast Guelph, around Goodwin Drive, Clairfields Drive East, Farley Drive and the approaches to Victoria Road South. It overlaps in local usage with Pine Ridge.
Housing and streetscape
Housing includes detached two-storey homes, townhouses, semi-detached properties, stacked units and condominium buildings. Construction occurred in phases, so homes differ in age, design, parking arrangements and monthly costs.
Parks, trails and landmarks
Orin Reid Park includes trails, play equipment, sports fields and washrooms, with additional features planned through its master plan. Westminster Woods Park offers trails, sports fields and play equipment. Smaller parks and pedestrian connections are distributed throughout the subdivision.
Access and everyday amenities
Gordon Street, Clair Road East, Arkell Road and Victoria Road South provide access across south and east Guelph. Commercial services are concentrated around Gordon and Clair.
